SeqBiome Limited, a world leader in microbiome analytics, is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. David Corr as its new Chief Executive Officer, taking over from founding CEO, Professor Marcus Claesson.
With an extensive background in biotechnology, In Vitro Diagnostics, and proven leadership in starting and scaling innovative companies, Dave will lead SeqBiome into its next phase of growth and innovation. This strategic appointment reinforces the company’s commitment to advancing cutting-edge microbiome solutions for global health.

Microbiome science is evolving rapidly and SeqBiome, through its global partnerships and customer base, has developed strong IP and a number of strong data assets to enable the business to add to its current offering and develop a roadmap of focused products and services that support many unmet health and clinical needs. I have long been passionate about preventative and personalised approaches to health, and I am very excited to help SeqBiome in participating in this critical area of future health.

After an incredible five-year journey, I am delighted to pass over the CEO role to Dave, who with his passion, expertise and relevant leadership experience will undoubtedly lead SeqBiome into the next exciting phase. I am looking forward to taking up the role of Head of Bioinformatics, and our co-founder Prof Paul Cotter will be Head of Microbiology.
The company has recently been recognised by Enterprise Ireland as an innovative High Potential Startup and has received seed investment from EI and DEEPie Ventures to support this next phase of growth.
