SeqBiome, a leader in microbiome analysis for athletes and a spin out of the world-renowned APC Microbiome Ireland research centre, has been selected to provide its SportGenix™ data pipeline platform for the OMICAssist Study the world’s largest MultiOMIC precision medicine initiative. Launched by P4ML, in collaboration with strategic academic, regulatory, and semi-state partners across the United Arab Emirates (UAE) the study is set to transform global healthcare.
Over the study, P4ML will focus on capturing Real World Evidence (RWE) to monitor improvements in the gut-brain axis, a pivotal wellness factor closely linked to enhanced health span and sustained lifestyle changes. Working alongside its Irish partners SeqBiome, the study will analyze three key time points for each participant, generating rich longitudinal microbiome insights.
Developed and validated in collaboration with leading Performance Nutritionists, globally renowned elite sports teams, and elite athletes, SportGenix™ is grounded in peer-reviewed science and powered by advanced machine learning. Within OMICAssist, it will play a pivotal role in delivering the high-quality, system-level datasets required for AI-driven health modelling, while ensuring all data and bio samples remain securely within the UAE.
Over the next five years, OMICAssist will screen more than two million individuals, integrating data from gut microbiome, metabolomics, lipidomics, proteomics, exposomics, and wearable biosensors. The aim: to deliver real-time, personalized insights that reshape how health is understood, monitored, and managed shifting the paradigm from treatment to prevention and performance optimization.
SeqBiome’s SportGenix™ platform will support the project through its automated data processing pipeline, deployed within the P4ML – Trusted Research Environment (TRE). Tailored specifically for nutritionists and elite athletes, SportGenix™ delivers best-in-class analysis to guide nutrition choices, enhance performance, accelerate recovery, and reduce the risk of illness and gastric discomfort.
